Rejuvenate Your Skin With a Platelet-Rich Plasma Facial

Our Alpharetta Med Spa employs actual medical professionals who are experts in regenerative medicine. One such regenerative treatment is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Facials. This treatment takes your own blood and turns back the clock on your aging skin.

How Does It Work?

The process begins with a technician drawing blood from your arm. This blood is placed in a special machine called a centrifuge. This machine separates the red blood cells from the platelet-rich plasma. It is the PCP that is used for the treatment.  The PCP is smoothed onto your face and then micro-needled into the skin during a short procedure.

Once the plasma is in your skin, it gets to work rejuvenating from the inside out. Platelet-Rich Plasma deploys parts of your own biochemistry which activate growth and repair tissue.

What Are The Advantages to a Platelet-Rich Plasma?

One of the biggest advantages to a PRP treatment is that there is zero risk of an allergic reaction. You are using your own body’s platelets and plasma to rejuvenate your skin. Another advantage is that the procedure is quick with minimal discomfort experienced by the patient.

What Is The Exact Procedure For a PRP Facial?

Our technicians will numb your face using a topical cream before we begin the procedure. The procedure will start with an infusion of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). This ensures that your skin is well hydrated and pigment-free.

The next step will entail infusing your skin with the PCP through the use of micro-needling or an automated mesotheraphy device.

Micro-PRP Rejuvenation:

Your PRP is topically applied and then pushed into the top layer of skin using a micro-needling procedure. As an added bonus, micro-needling stimulates collagen growth.

Meso-PRP Rejuvenation::

Your PRP is injected directly into the deeper layers of the skin using the automated mesotherapy device called Vital Injector. This allows the protein-rich substance to be delivered deep into your skin.

When the procedure is over, you may notice slight discomfort. This will subside fairly quickly.

Growth Factors

Epidermal Growth Factor promotes the production of collagen

Fibroblast Growth Factor promotes skin repair

Platelet-Derived Growth Factor promotes proteoglycan synthesis

Interleukins promotes fibroblast differentiation

What Areas Should Be Considered For Platelet-Rich Plasma Treatment?

The most common PRP treatment is as a facial or on the neck. But any area of the body can be treated.

How Many PRP Treatments Do I Need?

Most people require 2-4 treatments that are 4-6 weeks apart. You will visibly see the full results about 3 months after your last session.
